Nearby are some excellent OBX restaurants including Goombays, Red Drum, Mama Kwans and Chili Peppers. Lone Cedar Cafe and Sugar Creek are always a good choice and both of these are located on the causeway to Manteo; about 15 minutes away.

For groceries you have two choices of larger/full service stores. These are Food Lion which is the closest at the Belk Center (around Mile Post 7) and Harris-Teeter at Mile Post 9.8.
